DUCKDUCKGO SEARCH ENGINE (NOT AN APP - COPY URL TO YOUR BROWSER)
Sometimes better than Google despite its strange name. According to a New Yorker article (10/26/20, page 38), Duckduckgo
"... strips queries of identifying data". [The entire article "PRIVACY SETTINGS - The rise of encrypted messaging and one
cryptographer's plan to resist mass surveillance", by Anna Weiner, runs from pages 32 - 43].  Duckduckgo can also be
incorporated into the Firefox browser  for better anonymity.  It is also possible that it can be added to other browsers as well,
although presumably not MS's Edge.

THUNDERBIRD Email client from Mozilla.

GOOGLE EARTH On line only (no longer a downloadable and executable file ).  You probably have to have a Google account
to run it.

PROTONMAIL
A highly secure encrypted email provider (reecommended (by the author of Fourmilab).

WEB EXPRESS WEBSITE PUBLISHER
This is the app used to create the present site. It does not support rollovers but does support frames and forms (not used here).
The sites produced are  not secure  but can probably be made so by using a third party uploading app instead of the Webex
uploader (for example FileZilla  or  WinSCP). Security apps have found  Webex uploaded sites to be free of security risks, however.
It is a fabulous website builder  that can be installed on Win10. On my Lenovo laptop with SSDs it works like a normal app (launchable
from the task bar for example).
On my problematic desktop you have to jump through some hoops.  Look in the download directory for the Webex zip file
and double click the icon. Follow the instructions then return to the Webex folder that you can specify - with luck the Webex
app will appear both as Webex.exe and as Webex.wbs. Double click on the .wbs filename to launch the app. The .wbs version will
display both the working page and, on the left, a site map that shows all the links - this is extremely useful since it gives an overall
view of the site. Double clicking a page on the site map will display the page that can then be edited. Running the .exe file does
not show the site map.
NOTE:  Several other apps also call themselves "Webex" - for example "Cisco Webex"

WEB HOSTING
I am migrating to IONOS using the URL imhodge.net. This host is promising - apparently based in the UK. This site should be secure, but is under development.
Redirections will be added to this site once the new site is completed and posted.
