Deletes detritus left over by sloppy or nefarious programming. I liked it so much I bought the paid version (ca $55 for 3 computers),
BUT THIS APPEARS TO BE A SCAM: when installing the purchased version the supplied registration number is never
asked for. Apparently you pay $55 and get the same product as the free version, with continued messages asking you
to "upgrade" to the paid "pro" version. It appears that some apps can evade this usually excellent filter (McAfee for one).
Partitions HDs - rave review in PCWorld (9/12). I have used it once to wipe out all data on a partition - it works and is both
logical and user friendly.
Select any portion of your desktop and print it. Select the "unsupported free version". (Windows). This is apparently the
only convenient way to print out the contents of a folder for example. But I always use the utility in Linux Mint.
Stupid name but an excellent substitute for Acrobat Writer. To create PDF files, execute Print and select CutePDF. Superb.
Latest OS Office and Word Perfect products have finally caught up with Libre Office and can export to PDF.
Converts a PDF file to notepad text or image. However, to install it you must give your name and email address, suggesting
tracking. For the rare times I use Windows I use this instead of Acrobat because Adobe keeps screwing up its updates.
An excellent freeware PDF reader.
Another good PDF reader and creator.
Alternative PDF reader.
Converts PDF to other formats that can then be edited. Excellent.
